Nova Elite TEAM COACHES

coach devin

Devin's journey into gymnastics began through coaching, driven by a passion for the sport's artistry and athleticism. Devin's coaching career is defined by his commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence at every level.

From guiding beginners in their first cartwheels to refining the techniques of high level competitors aiming for the podium, Devin's coaching career spans a diverse spectrum of athletes. In the gym, Devin emphasizes the importance of discipline, determination, having fun, and mutual respect, creating an environment where athletes are challenged to reach their full potential while still finding joy in the sport.

Devin believes that success in gymnastics goes beyond winning medals—it's about personal growth, resilience, and the journey of self-discovery. Through his coaching, Devin instills in athletes the belief that they are capable of achieving greatness both on and off the competition floor, nurturing not only their athletic skills but also their character.

In 2024, Devin's dream of owning a training ground for champions came to fruition with the establishment of Nova Elite Gymnastics. Here, the pursuit of excellence is balanced with a supportive community atmosphere where athletes of all levels can thrive. with a dedicated coaching staff and a welcoming community, Nova Elite Gymnastics is where dreams are realized and friendships are forged.

Coach Kylie

Coach Kylie fell in love with gymnastics at the age of 3 watching the Olympics and she’s been hooked ever since. Kylie quickly became a very talented gymnast, competing from 2008, working her way up to Level 10 in 2020. She won 1st place as a Level 8 in the Washington State Championships. She also competed at Regionals five times and Nationals twice. Unfortunately, an ankle injury put a damper in her competitive season, so she shifted her focus to coaching and teaching aspiring young gymnasts everything she knows. Kylie has been coaching for since 2015, and we were thrilled when she joined our team at NEG in 2020 and purchased the gym with Coach Devin in 2024.

Coach Kylie’s believes the best gymnasts are the ones that have fun and enjoy their time in the gym, so she encourages her students every day with this philosophy in mind. Her favorite part about this job is watching kids fall in love with the sport just like she did when she was young. Kylie works primarily with our girls team and her favorite event to teach is bars, but she loves coaching all ages and levels. When she’s not in the gym teaching our girls team awesome skills, you can find Coach Kylie and Coach Devin hiking with her two fur babies, Rookie and Bandit.

Coach Summer

Coach Summer’s love for gymnastics began almost as soon as she could walk. She started the sport as a baby and continued training all the way through high school, spending the majority of her life in the gym. Throughout her career, gymnastics shaped her not only as an athlete, but as a leader—helping her grow, learn, and inspire younger gymnasts to work hard and never give up on themselves.

Coach Summer competed through Level 7 before an ankle injury, paired with the challenges of COVID, led her to make the difficult decision to hang up her grips. After stepping away from the gym for a few years to explore other interests, she quickly realized that gymnastics would always be part of who she is.

Drawn back by her passion for the sport and the opportunity to work alongside her sister, Coach Kylie, Coach Summer returned to help build and grow this program. Gymnastics has truly been a lifelong journey for her, and she is grateful to share her knowledge, experience, and love for the sport with the next generation of athletes. There’s nowhere else she’d rather be than in the gym, doing what she loves most.

coach Sammie

Sammie has been a gymnast for 13 years and a coach for 3 years now. She enjoys getting to share her love of the sport and the great experiences she has had with all the girls she gets to coach. NEG is truly her favorite place to be and she loves the passion for the sport from everyone here. She fell in love with coaching just as much as she fell in love with doing the sport itself. She has plans for college and we could not be more excited for her but will coach as long as she can both now and after college. She found a passion for teaching here at NEG and we are proud to call her part of the gym family!
